    Developing DVB-T2 Set Top Box with Conditional Access.
    Company started shipping Set Top Boxes to South Africa for the analogue switch off. Acquired Easy Digital, and further expanded the market share of Latin America and Europe Broadcast Operators.

    Company started shipment of Conditional Access Satellite receivers, and also started to develop High Definition Set Top Boxes.  Analogue satellite services faced gradual switch off and began switching into Digital reception.

  • COMPANY WENT PUBLIC IN TAIWAN, TAIPEI STOCK EXCHANGE - SKARDIN INDUSTRIAL TWD10 (3466.TWO)

    Developed the digital interactive MHP receivers and launched the product in Italy becoming one of the two exclusive suppliers. As the competition for the digital receivers got more intense, Company started to design and supply Conditional Access satellite receivers and Digital Video Recorder solutions.

  • First digital satellite and terrestrial receivers

    Started to design Digital Satellite & Terrestrial receivers for the European market. Pioneered the design and development of the ultra slim satellite decoders.

    The Company stopped color TV and Audio production. Company put its focus in Analogue Satellite Receiver and expanded the collaboration with EchoStar International (Holland) for the satellite receiver in Latin America countries.

  • Factory move from Taiwan Kaohsiung to S&T Technology (Shenzhen) in China

    Company moved the factory from Taiwan Kaohsiung to China Shenzhen. The movement is due to the difficulty to acquire physical labor.

  • First owned factory in Kaohsiung, Taiwan and HK office & warehouse

    Company merged the subcontractor’s factory Corda Electronic Co Ltd in Kaohsiung Free Zone. Company officially started to own its factory and invest in design and manufacturing.

    Audio Products sales expanded to Italy, Spain, Ecuador, Venezuela, and other Latin America countries. Audio product shipment averaged to around 400K units per year. Color TV shipment averaged around 200K per year.  First Analogue Satellite Receiver product in Europe shipped to UK, and Germany.

    In 1993 Skardin Industrial UK was founded.
